Real Estate Investing can be seen as a “lonesome battle” at times. Yes, it is true that you probably need to interact with various team members on a regular basis, like the real estate agent, the property manager, or the tenants… etc. But at the end, you are really on your own to make all the decisions, you are the one who makes or breaks your future. That feeling of fighting the battle on your own, not having someone in your department to discuss and solve issues with you side-by-side, can be lonely. All that being said, what it comes down to is “peers support.”
BiggerPockets is one of the larger (if not the largest) online community for real estate investors. It does not matter what type of real estate investment you do, you can always find someone there to help you out. It is a very focused group of people and all they talk about on the forums there are real estate.
